Musharraf visits South African Embassy---signs Mandela Condolence Book

December 10th, 2013: Dr. Raza Bokhari, international spokesperson to Former President Musharraf, issued the following statement to various media outlets:
General Pervez Musharraf, Former President of Pakistan, visited the South African Embassy in Islamabad earlier this evening to sign the condolence book to honor the life and life legacy of Nelson Mandela.

The Former President recorded the following statement:
"Today the world pays homage to the most well-known, respected and popular figure that perhaps history has ever known. On a personal level I draw inspiration from the life of Madiba Nelson Mandela. The limit of injustice and hardship that one can endure for a cause larger than self; the cause for one's country and one's people".
Former President Musharraf was received at the High Commission by HE M. Kumalo, High Commissioner of South Africa, the Deputy High Commissioner, Defence Attaché and senior embassy officials.
