Explosives-laden car found near Musharraf's residence

explosives - chak shahzadApril 23rd, 2013: Dr. Raza Bokhari, International Spokesman and North American Point of Contact to General Pervez Musharraf, Former President of Pakistan and Chief of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) expressed grave concern regarding the physical safety and security of Former President Musharraf.

Reacting to the news of an explosives-laden abandoned car discovered near General Musharraf's residence in Islamabad, that is currently designated as a sub-jail, Dr. Bokhari issued the following statement in speaking to various media outlets: We are relieved to learn and acknowledge the efforts of the State Security Apparatus assigned to protect Former President Musharraf who were able to impound the abandoned car that was loaded with 50Kg of explosives along with two detonators and several hand grenades. Certain malicious judges, in what seems to be their quest to feed their own self-serving egos, are knowingly putting General Musharraf's life in greater danger by forcing him to make repeated court appearances in the face of credible and specific threats by the Enemies of Pakistan. They have no right to present him on a platter to Taliban militants and vicious assassins committed to kill in the name of religion. Former President Musharraf is not a convicted felon. He has voluntarily returned to Pakistan to participate in the political process and respond to various politically motivated allegations leveled against him in multiple trial courts. We demand an immediate end to his unlawful detention and expect that he should be exempt from making personal physical appearances in these trial courts.
These shenanigans orchestrated by segments of malicious judiciary, unscrupulous lawyers and fictitious petitioners are a blatant attempt to physically harm Former President Musharraf and deny the People of Pakistan the option to consider choosing him as their leader in the upcoming elections.
