Musharraf announces APML Party Manifesto---Vows to take the country out of darkness

Pak prosperityApril 15th, 2013: General Pervez Musharraf, Former President of Pakistan of Pakistan and Chief of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) addressed a press conference in Islamabad to formally announce the APML Party Manifesto.

General Musharraf highlighted the biggest threat facing Pakistan is internal and there must be unity of thought and action within the Government, Bureaucracy and Military to defeat terrorism and extremism. He announced that if APML is voted into office, it will ensure GDP growth of at least 6% and will maintain Debt to GDP ratio of 60%. General Musharraf pledged to normalize Pakistan's relations with India; eliminate external influence in Afghanistan post US withdrawal of combat forces in 2014; dramatically improve ties with the Muslim Ummah and the West.  To sustainably overcome the energy crisis debilitating the country, the Former President stressed the need of building Kalabagh Dam with consensus and also rely on production of electricity through hydro‚ coal and nuclear energy mega-projects.
